LEGAZPI CITY—Leaders of various anti-mining groups under the Save Rapu-Rapu Alliance criticized media coverage of mining in Albay, saying it tended to be biased in favor of mining firm Lafayette Philippines.
Fr. Fedelino Bugauisan, spokesperson of the Anti-Lafayette Mining Alliance, accused media in general of bias, and said his group felt the media was helping Lafayette.
Leaders of various anti-mining groups met on Monday at the Aquinas University and held a symbolic march to the DENR here to mark the first anniversary of the Oct. 31 spill.
